All the Other “Little Birds”
I know not everyone is “into” birds. . .but, I’ll readily admit to being a life-long “birder.” My early memories include watching birds at my parents’ bird-feeders, seeing flocks of Meadow Larks on the front yard, and delighting in a first-glimpse of a Blue Bird (back when they were rare). From my Richmond home office, I can look up and over my computer monitor, straight out the window to a bird-feeder that brings an assortment of “small birds” for my daily viewing pleasure; a quick walk into the woods behind the house or to the nearby James River Parks yields even more variety. When at Bay Escape in Reedville, I tend to be “distracted” by the bigger shore/sea/birds of prey but the small song and woodland birds are a happy bunch where-ever you are!
