Bald Eagles

Eagles are plentiful in the area around Bay Escape. I can reliably count on seeing one or more every time I venture out for a kayak ride. Within just a mile there are three committed pairs (two of them with established nests) and juveniles abound. Nonetheless, the thrill of seeing an eagle perched in the sun (or shadows), launching from a branch over-head, or whisper-touching the water to bring out a fish—none of it ever gets old.
